The fourth floor at Barneys Madison Avenue was buzzing last night, as guests began arriving for the launch of Tod’s exclusive capsule collection. Barneys CEO Daniella Vitale was in good company, hosting the evening alongside Tod’s CEO Diego Della Valle and Blake Lively, who looked stunning in a Tod’s suede tracksuit. The launch of the collection marks the Italian house’s debut at Barneys, both in store at select flagship locations and online at To celebrate, Tod’s created a special collection of eight Exclusively Ours bags to mark the occasion—including this month’s Must. Have. Bag., the sleek Sella satchel. “We felt it was time to start a relationship in women’s since we were so inspired by the SS18 collection and the incredible detail and craftsmanship of the product,” Vitale says about the new relationship. “Diego and the Tod’s organization run their business like a family, and tonight is the celebration of our wonderful relationship.”

The bags were front and center all evening, as guests such as Naomi Watts and Martha Hunt arrived one after another, each with one of the immaculately crafted Italian designs in hand. The buzzing crowd mingled over Aperol spritzes and charcuterie, and many took the opportunity to get a custom luggage tag created on site by an artisan flown in from the company’s headquarters in Casette d’Ete. Following the festive toasting on the fourth floor, select guests headed up to Freds for a private dinner party.
