“Oh, I was an influencer. I was a major influencer. And I knew it,” Martha Stewart says in her signature deadpan way. She’s chatting with Barneys CEO Daniella Vitale on a special bonus episode of The Barneys Podcast, out today.

So, you knew it early on?” Vitale replies.

Yeah,” Stewart says. “Because when my publisher first said, ‘I’ll print probably 10,000 copies of Entertaining.’ I said, ‘Are you kidding? I know 25,000 people that need this book.’ And so they printed 25,000 copies and immediately went back to printing…and printing and printing. It’s still on print, and I’m very proud of the fact. We’ve done 94 books since then.”

The episode, which comes as a special bonus before the official launch of Season 3 next month, was recorded at Barneys Madison Avenue flagship when Stewart dropped by to help toast the launch of her Designer Burger Series at Freds.
