The luxury skincare brand La Prairie is consistently disrupting the beauty industry by introducing new products that merge advanced formulas with complexion-enhancing benefits. This month, they’ve expanded on the Skin Caviar Complexion collection by adding two powder products: Skin Caviar Powder Foundation and Skin Caviar Loose Powder, which are both infused with caviar extract to deliver lifting results with buildable coverage.
To demonstrate how to work the complexion products into a daily routine, we tapped celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh to create a flawless finish for actress Sofia Hublitz. In the video above, during a visit to the The Ritz-Carlton, she works her magic for a bespoke “Caviar Infinite” look that’s long-wearing and easy to achieve. “By layering a few products we create a sculpted complexion that adds dimension to the face,” she says.
Quynh starts with a cleansed face and preps the skin using La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Essence-In-Lotion, the Liquid Lift serum, Luxe Cream, and the Luxe Lift Eye Cream. She then begins to apply the Concealer Foundation duo in the Creme Peche shade and blends using the brand’s newly launched Foundation Brush. “I start at the cheek area going upward and outward for a lifted look,” she says. Next she grabs the small concealer brush, adding concealer under the eyes, and sets the face using the Skin Caviar Loose Powder with the Loose Powder Brush. Quynh then contours using the Skin Caviar Powder Foundation in one shade deeper than the liquid foundation color, moving upward toward the ear from the apples of the cheeks. For an enhanced lifted effect, she finishes the look by adding a few drops of Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex.
Quynh has become a complexion expert by working with red carpet stars who need to look polished under any light. She loves using La Prairie because the products feel light and airy yet deliver a full-coverage, natural look for clients. Hublitz’s thoughts on the collection mirrored the artist’s as she shares, “My makeup feels fresh, and though my imperfections are blurred, the satin finish still feels natural. As an actress, I look for durability in my products because it’s nice when they last on set with minimal touch-ups. Plus, running around all day causes my skin to dry up, so makeup with extra skincare benefits will always be my favorite.”
