J. MENDEL Silk Chiffon Gown

I’ll be attending the New York City Ballet’s Spring Gala on May 4th. The cherry blossom hue and soft layered chiffon of this J Mendel gown will have me feeling like a Midspring’s Night Dream!

The Met Gala this year is a look at fashion in an age of technology. Much like this fusion, my choice would be to sport the Christian Louboutin Galactokai studded black patent slip-ons paired with an XO wool-mohair tuxedo from Burberry in the hot, new shade of high-blue.

ALTUZARRA Pamplona Embellished Dress

I’m looking forward to attending the Save Venice Ball, an event that supports the preservation and restoration of Venetian art. Though I tend to lean more toward the minimalist side for evening, the incredible crystal embroidery on this white lace Altuzarra gown will suit the masquerade theme of the event perfectly.

DRIES VAN NOTEN Grosgrain-Trimmed Two-Button Suit

I plan on wearing this Dries Van Noten suit to the Lucky Draw benefit at the Sculpture Center in Long Island City. The Center is one of the most important not-for-profit art institutions in New York and is dedicated to showing the work of emerging and established artists, as well as commissioning new work. It’s all exhibited in a former trolley repair shop in LIC that was redesigned by the artist Maya Lin.

THE ROW Elena Halter Vest / THE ROW Caro Pants

This May, I will be attending the Tower of Hope Gala for the Tower Cancer Research Fund.  Many of our clients are on the board, and Barneys will be participating in their silent auction. For this event, my choice is from som of my favorite designers, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row. The simple, quiet sophistication of this brand always makes me feel confident—never overdressed and never underdressed.

DRIES VAN NOTEN Kline Two-Button Suit / Matthew Mazzucca photographed by Sharif Hamza for Love Magazine.

Because we’re always fabricating and building visual displays in our studio, sometimes the weekend is the only time I get to dress up. The subtle color and pattern of this Dries Van Noten suit, which I’d pair with the contrasting pattern of the Chaines shirt, is the ultimate style piece that will allow me to stand out in different environments seamlessly without feeling overdressed. In May, I’ll be sporting this look I walk through the Frieze Art Fair, but I’ll be just as comfortable having a Bloody Mary at Freds first.

DRIES VAN NOTEN Dameri Shift Dress

I am being honored by UJA-Federation this month, and after spending time with my boys and their team in Tel Aviv, I am thrilled to be a part of such an organization. I’ll be wearing a navy and white floral Dries Van Noten dress, in part because I love just about everything Dries, but also because it really makes me feel like the start of spring.

ISAIA Plaid Gregory Tuxedo Jacket

It’s always important to add a splash of color to formalwear, but especially so for a springtime gala in a venue like the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, which this year is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Japanese gardens. I love this Isaia tuxedo jacket with its wonderfully rich plaid and classic cut.

PACO RABANNE Embellished Gown

When attending something as glamorous as the 30th Annual “Night of a Thousand Gowns” at The Imperial Court of New York, choosing a gown can be the most daunting part. I know I will be surrounded by the best costume designers in the industry, so I feel more comfortable taking a modest approach to the evening. My solution is a black Paco Rabanne gown with distressed details. It’s glamorous, yet with an air of nonchalance.
