I’m not a prophet or a Stone Age man. Just a mortal with the potential of a superman: I’m living on. – David Bowie, “Quicksand”

David Bowie passed away on January 10, 2016 after an 18-month battle with cancer—just days after the release of his much-anticipated album Blackstar and his 69th birthday. We will never forget the way the British icon transformed music and pop culture through his genre-bending songs and bold personal style. The world is certainly a little dimmer in the absence of this shining star, but his legacy will live on forever.
