Lauren Levinger's City Guide

SoulCycle Castro

“I am a SoulCycle fanatic and they recently opened a new location in The Castro. The studio used to be a Diesel store when I was in Highschool so I think I love it even more because there is a bit of nostalgia attached to the space. I recommend taking Molli S. or Kamelle’s classes—they play the best music!” -Lauren Levinger

The Legion of Honor

“My favorite museum in SF is The Legion of Honor. The building is stunning and houses a really great collection of European art. It overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Golden Gate Bridge, so you go for the art and get a great view too!” -Lauren Levinger

“I love the Lands End hike along the water to the Sutro Baths. You get an amazing view of the city and the ruins which used to be a private saltwater swimming pool complex in the 1900’s, they are really beautiful, especially when the waves are crashing up against the walls.” -Lauren Levinger

The Progress

“It’s so hard to pick just one favorite restaurant in San Francisco. The food scene is unparalleled and filled with amazing restaurants! But if I had to choose a current favorite, it would be The Progress. The restaurant reimagines the family-style dinner party and allows patrons to ‘choose your own adventure’. You are instructed to select 4 dishes from the menu to share with your party. The menu changes often so you are always in for a surprise.” -Lauren Levinger

“I love Mendel’s on Haight street. If you are ever looking for a replacement button, they have the biggest collection of buttons in the city!” -Lauren Levinger
