Bill Mullen's City Guide

Wynn Las Vegas

“We stay at the Wynn because we worship Steve Wynn. We will always stay in his latest and greatest. And yes, in Vegas that would be the Encore, but we have better luck at the craps tables in the Wynn so we have to be practical.” -Bill Mullen

New York New York Casino

“We think the best view of Vegas is from the highest point of the Manhattan Express Roller Coaster at the New York New York Casino.” -Bill Mullen

“While we are on the subject of fitness, I work out my right arm rolling the dice at the craps tables first thing every morning, after lunch, and after dinner every day when I am in Vegas. My lucky casinos are Harrah’s, The Four Queens, and the El Cortez. Sometimes, when my luck isn’t as good as I would like, I work out my left arm—to change the energy.” -Bill Mullen

Fremont Street Experience

“Well, since the Liberace Museum is closed, I’d suggest going down to Fremont Street at night to look at all the stupendous signage and lights. We also love the view at night from the zipline down here, which we do every trip. My friends and love Old Las Vegas and the drive from the strip to downtown because of all the motel and pawn shop facades—so poetic. It’s like a boulevard of broken dreams.” -Bill Mullen

Golden Steer

“There are a million great restaurants, and we make a point of trying new ones every time we go. However, there are some that we go to every visit. We always rock it old school at some point during our stay, asking ourselves what would Dean Martin do, so we eat at Golden Steer Steakhouse and Hugo’s Cellar in the Four Queens.” -Bill Mullen

El Cortez Casino

“I’d also suggest a visit to the incredible El Cortez Casino downtown, just to look at all the old Vegas memorabilia. As a side note, I often have very good luck at the El Cortez craps tables—just saying.” -Bill Mullen
