His eponymous line quickly rose to the top of must-have lists for sneakerheads worldwide when he launched it in 2013, and that comes as no surprise since Buscemi draws the best from his background in the worlds of both luxury and streetwear. Not only is he a former Wall Street broker, but he’s also fronted brands DC Shoe Co. and his first independent line, GOURMET. This unique mix translates into kicks with street cred-worthy style in the ultimate of luxury materials, like gold-plated hardware and Italian leathers.

Buscemi recently welcomed us into his versatile L.A. headquarters. Steps from L.A.’s thriving design district, the diverse space features both a craftsman bungalow—which serves as the brand’s marketing department—and a mid-century modern home that’s been converted to house Buscemi’s center of operations, nestled together on a single lot.

Once inside the gorgeous HQ, we found something as unexpected and exciting as the space itself: women’s shoes! That’s right, new for this season, Buscemi is launching a women’s collection after years of seeing ladies wearing his men’s shoes.
