For the finale of our 2017 BNY Sole Series, we bring you a new design our team has created in collaboration with iconic brand Clarks. This was our buyers’ first time with Clarks, and in another first, we’re offering styles not only for men, but also matching, scaled-down versions for kids and toddlers. The brand’s popular Wallabee style was used as the jumping-off point for the collaboration, and for good reason. “Shoppers are gravitating more and more towards this timeless boot,” says Senior Men’s Footwear Buyer Chris Pepe, adding that in the world of footwear trends, the timing was right for an exclusive.
After choosing the Wallabee silhouette, the team worked on sourcing high-quality materials like extra-soft Nubuck. Three color ways were created in both the men’s and kids styles, each making the most of Clark’s signature crepe sole, but the lining of the adult version is suede while the children’s pairs have smooth sheepskin. Our take on the comfortable, moccasin-like boot is completed with two tags baring both brands’ names. With the holidays right around the corner, limited-edition Clarks make a great gift for both men and the little ones.
