For us, art and fashion have always gone hand in hand. (Dries Van Noten’s fall collection could be in a museum–just saying.) So when Barneys New York got the chance to participate in a High Line Art event by London-based artist Pablo Bronstein, we jumped at it.

Bronstein conceived and created a performance art installation in the elevated park, called “Intermezzo: Two Girls Wear Fashion Garments on a Palm Tree,” a mesmerizing presentation that drew the illustrious likes of Prabal Gurung, Elizabeth Olsen, Cindy Sherman and Chuck Close. And the Fashion Garments in question? Fall’s finest from Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane, L’Wren Scott, Nina Ricci, J. Mendel, Katie Ermilio and Juan Carlos Obando, all pulled from the current collections on the floor at Barneys New York.

Now, we can’t promise that Prabal and company will watch you sashaying around in your own Stella. But if you want to feel a little more like a gorgeous piece of art (and isn’t that why we all dress up, really?), then we think Pablo Bronstein-approved Barneys is a good place to start.
