They say that giving back can be its own reward, and that being the case, we’re currently feeling totally gratified. That’s because the Barneys New York Foundation recently had the opportunity to host events in three of our flagship stores in support of some of our favorite organizations: The Farrah Fawcett Foundation was the beneficiary of a shopping event in Beverly Hills, while dual events in both Philadelphia and Chicago raised funds for UNICEF USA.

Working our way east to west, last Thursday’s events kicked off in Philly, where our own Simon Doonan joined a stylish host committee to raise funds for UNICEF. After Doonan and host Jennifer Paradis welcomed the crowd, guests had the opportunity to purchase keys for lockboxes containing prizes from Barneys designers. All the proceeds from the contest, along with a portion of sales from the evening, we donated to the organization, which focuses on the survival and development of children around the world.Simon then hopped over to Chicago, where Tuesday he moderated a panel discussion featuring designer Andrea Lieberman of A.L.C., makeup artist Claudio Riaz, jewelry designer Nak Armstrong, and designer Victor Alfaro. He was joined by Martha Metz, Susie Silich and Tina Trott in hosting the luncheon, which also benefited UNICEF.

Moving westward, our Beverly Hills flagship played host to a benefit for the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, an organization dedicated to eradicating HPV-related cancers in memory of the late actress. Barneys’ makeup artist-in-residence Patrick Foley joined forces with Jaclyn Smith, Alana Stewart, Sherry Lansing, and Linda Caan as hosts of a cocktail reception where guests had the chance to enter a raffle for beauty packages from some of our favorite brands. Some big names in beauty were on hand to join in on the fun, with the likes of Frédéric Malle and Nannette de Gaspé Beaubien among the crowd.

Scroll on for a closer look at all three of these great parties, and keep your eyes peeled for an event near you for an opportunity to join the Barneys New York Foundation in supporting these incredible causes.
