What better way to raise money for UNICEF’s great cause than by hosting two spring shopping events? That’s exactly what we did yesterday in Philadelphia, and then earlier this March in Chicago.
Last night in Philadelphia, we had our second annual cocktail party to benefit the global organization. The shopping-filled evening was hosted by committee members including Jennifer Pardis Behle, Tim Behle, Jessica Wirth Strine, Todd Strine, Sheri Lamber, and Sean Rooney, to name a few. Jewelry designer Ana Khouri was also in attendance in support of the cause with our Barneys New York Foundation.
On March 8, a private luncheon event was held at our Chicago flagship on International Women’s Day. The hosts of the afternoon—Martha Metz, Tina Trott, and Susie Silich—were joined by a powerful group of Barneys designers and entrepreneurs who then participated in a panel session led by our very own Simon Doonan. The Freds dining room was bubbling over an excitement that carried on to the shopping portion, where the designers joined guests on the sales floor. Designers in attendance included Ana Khouri, Lisa Perry, young Italian shoe designer Nicolo Beretta of Giannico, and investment banker turned candlemaker for good Sterling McDavid of the Starling Project.
