It’s good to shop, but even better to shop for good. That was certainly the case this week as a group of well-heeled Chicagoans gathered at our flagship store there for a private luncheon and afternoon of shopping to benefit the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

Coming together with Barneys in hosting the afternoon was a group of women with ties to organization, an assemblage that did Chicago proud: Martha Metz, Tina Trott, Wendy Serrino, and Susie Silich. These ladies were joined by a powerhouse selection of Barneys designers, who spoke to guests at the Freds-hosted luncheon and then joined them on the sales floor for one-on-one assistance with shopping, from which a portion of proceeds went to UNICEF. Designers in attendance included jewelry designer Sharon Khazzam; Poppy King, founder of Lipstick Queen; the design duo behind Brock Collection, Laura Vassar and Kristopher Brock; and designer Esteban Cortazar.
