Meet The New Barneys.com: It’s More Than Shopping; It’s Shopping With A Story

There’s nothing we love more than a good makeover.

Yesterday, we launched a totally redesigned and reimagined Barneys.com, and it is, frankly, awesome. (WWDStyle.com and Racked are pretty psyched about it too.)

We don’t mean to brag (ok, maybe a little), but this new site offers a whole new approach to shopping, making the experience both more personal and more social (not to mention addictive). How, you ask? The video below has the full scoop, but we’ll mention a few of our favorite features here.

First up: the “Favorites” lists. You can compile all your favorite fashion finds—individual products, designers or whole categories—in personalized lists. Then, show off your style savvy by letting others follow your lists—both on the site itself and on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Plus, once something is Favorited by enough people, it becomes a “Most Loved” item, so you’ll always know what’s trending.

To get the ball rolling, the Barneys team rounded up a few of their own personal Favorites, and starting on Monday, we’ll begin revealing lists created by heavy-hitting fashion influencers like Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Julianne Moore, Leslie Fremar, Jane Aldridge, Keegan Singh, Rachael Chandler Guinness, Tom Guinness, Melia Marden, Michael Chernow, Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang.

But we’re still not done! The new site is also peppered with content from yours truly, The Window, along with outfit suggestions, lookbooks and countless “XO: Exclusively Ours” items. The XO icon, along with icons for New Arrivals, Most Loved, Favorites and content from The Window, makes it easier than ever to find and filter exactly what you’re looking for.
