NINA RICCI: The Inspiration Behind The Designs

Peter Copping‘s Spring 2012 collection for Nina Ricci was inspired in part by the artist Zina de Plagny, who created prints for the original Ricci in the 1930s. Not surprisingly, Copping’s collection features a number of artful prints that feel just right for spring. Also in evidence: feminine touches that recall Ricci’s ladylike legacy. These influences and more can be traced back to a series of images that caught Copping’s eye and sparked his imagination while designing the collection. He offered The Window a glimpse at these inspirational shots, and we have to say, we’re feeling pretty inspired ourselves…
