Moreau, Double Monks and More: Key Pieces to Segue to Fall

With cooler temperatures setting in, we’re as eager as ever for a few wardrobe updates. Whether it’s back to black with leather skinnies or a whimsical adventure in print, it’s time for new fall frills and fancies.

We asked the Barneys team which three pieces they were banking on during this seasonal segue, and of course, we couldn’t be more tempted by their varied picks.

keythree-markThis fall, I will be adding a classic Luciano Barbera brown raincoat (call 212.826.8900 to order) to my collection as well as a pair of Prada penny loafers in a complementary brown.  Of course, I have a number of Rake pieces in mind—one can never have too many!

keythree-tomokoIn line with my admittedly predictable tendencies, I will be adding another pair to my man shoe collection (like these Rupert Sanderson double monks), another embroidered sweatshirt (Betina please!) and another motorcycle jacket. I have plenty of leather ones but I still have room for a houndstooth one by Junya Watanabe.

keythree-simonI have my eye on Belstaff’s Roadmaster belted jacket, but it has been simply too hot to try it on yet.  I am delirious that Delvaux is now designing bags for blokes and cannot wait to sport that arm candy.  Also, I am going to load up on Hamilton custom western shirts (call 212.826.8900 to order)—yeehaw!

keythree-daniellaWith the change of season, I am looking forward to some colored indulgences, especially the red Moreau tote as well as one of Dries Van Noten’s perfectly desirable embroidered blouses.  I also have my eye on a pair of Saint Laurent leather jeans.

keythree-dennisI am planning to add two classic suits—a Maison Martin Margiela solid two-piece and a Fendi steel mélange suit—along with a pair of  John Lobb William shoes in black buffalo leather.

keythree-charI am obsessed with the patchwork long skirt from Givenchy… I also love the whimsical Dries Van Noten feathered top and this great Isabel Marant fitted jacket
