Today is the release of musician Travis Scott’s much-buzzed-about collaboration with Australian brand Ksubi. The edgy 10-piece collection includes bombers, hoodies, distressed jeans, and more, and represent both parties’ authentic sense of style.
When Ksubi CEO Craig King learned that the rapper loved their clothes, collaborating with him became a big goal for the brand. “When we opened our first US store about a year ago, Travis was our second customer through the door,” King says. “We’ve always been fans of Travis’ edgy street style. We reached out to his management, and he was really keen to work together.”.
Ksubi has garnered a cult following with musicians and the surrounding culture over the years, thanks to the brand’s bold streetwear designs and provocative styling. Similarly, musician Travis Scott is a star in both in the hip-hop and fashion worlds—helping to seamlessly mesh together the collection.
“Travis and Ksubi’s aesthetics are comparable, so a collaboration felt very natural. When we mixed together the DNA of both, we found that the design ideas just popped out and the result is a range that truly speaks to our audience,” says King.
The capsule features a custom flame logo, and all the denim was distressed under Scott’s creative direction. Detailing with reflective paint is also incorporated, while the graphics and oversized silhouettes embrace Ksubi’s signature look. The limited-edition collection is available at Barneys New York stores and online now. Shop quickly, because with Travis’s fan base and hype surrounding the release, it’s sure to be a hit.
