There are jeans. And then there are jeans. New denim line The ThIIIrd would fall into the latter category. The collection is inspired by the Japanese tattoo artist Horiyoshi III, who aspires to nothing short of perfection. It’s an ambition you can readily see in the execution of each pair. They’re made with Cone Mills denim, which is cut, sewn and treated in downtown Los Angeles—another region of the brand’s conceptual heritage.
The short video below tells the story of The ThIIIrd with the help of James Quaintance, Dogtown skater, tattoo artist and front man of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Take a look.
