“How to Affect Robots and Influence People” is the unlikely title of Antipodium’s Spring 2013 collection. Or perhaps not so unlikely, on second thought—the British label has already distinguished itself as a breath of fresh air in the fashion world, garnering iconoclast fans like Alexa Chung along the way. (Check out the conversation between Susie Bubble and Antipodium’s Creative Director Geoffrey Finch that appeared on The Window last year.)

But this year, they’ve outdone themselves. They cite as inspirations for their spring collection: “Fembots and futurism, hi-tech perfection and the construction of beauty.” In other words: plastic surgery.

The brand collaborated with the president of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (probably a first for him) to produce this season’s must-have print: a reworking of pre-surgical markings that outline the body.
