Game On: How The Barneys Team Does Super Bowl Sunday

Let’s face it. The game itself only counts for about 10 percent of the Super Bowl Sunday equation. (Tough to compete with seven-layer dip and Beyoncé, right?) But that doesn’t keep us from enjoying this unofficial holiday with the best of them. Below, the Barneys team shares their plans.

I always watch the Super Bowl. I think it’s good to dress up and make an occasion of it, so I will probably throw on a little Thom Browne ensemble.

I’m not a football fan but will tune in for Ms. Beyoncé, who I’m sure will give one of the all-time great halftime performances. She is extraordinary. I will wear Persol foldable sunglasses to protect myself from her blinding radiance.

I was hoping that Denver would make it in so we would actually have someone to root for.  I will host and wear my new ATM cashmere sweatshirt.

I have to admit that I am a bigger fan of college football than the professional league. However, it’s hard not to tune into the Super Bowl even if it’s just for the commercials. Somehow it seems appropriate and properly old fashioned to wear a beautiful cardigan. There is none more beautiful than Exemplaire’s with a leather front.

I am far from a football fanatic, but I love watching the Superbowl. I’ll be at a friend’s in my typical Sunday ensemble which includes a sweatshirt (the cashmere one from ATM is a favorite) and roomy pants—perfect for pizza and beer consumption.

We will be going to a friend’s house to watch the game. I will be wearing a 49ers (!!!) jersey over my leather leggings from The Row and Nike Bruin hightops in red, black and gold! It’s all about the theme!

This Super Bowl Sunday, I’ll be sure to be settled in at home to watch the game. A great way to be comfortable yet well dressed is to be decked out in an American Essentials pullover and a pair of lounge pants. They are as comfortable as pajamas and still look presentable enough to walk the dog.
