It was a vibrant (and beautifully scented) setting on the ninth floor of Barneys New York last night, where glamorous guests gathered to celebrate the launch of Frédéric Malle’s new book, “On Perfume Making.”
Eleven years ago, when the Parisian perfumer started his own label, Editions de Parfums, he began inviting the best and most contemporary fragrance connoisseurs to collaborate on unique, one-of-a-kind scents with no boundaries. This book showcases these collaborations and the complexities of fashioning a fragrance.
Last night’s co-hosts Uma Thurman and Arpad Busson were joined by well-dressed partygoers like Carolina Herrera, publisher Angelika Taschen, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Muriel Brandolini, and the book’s illustrator Konstantin Kakanias. Peruse our party pics below.
