Fashion Month is officially here, and with it comes the grand debate of what to wear each day. With events kicking off in our hometown of NYC and then across the pond to London, Milan, Paris, and Seoul in mid-October, we always appreciate great outfit advice. So, we tapped five fashion experts we admire from around the world to help with just that.

These successful women each have their own covetable senses of style, and one scroll through their Instagram feeds provides endless inspiration. Laurel Pantin, the Editorial and Fashion Director of the Coveteur, curates what she’d wear to NYFW; Berlin-based stylist/fashion consultant Jan Quammie brings on-point looks for London; Sara Moschini, the Head of Fashion at Grazia.itshows us how she’s dressing in Milan; Paris native Anne-Laure Mais, founder of the popular site Adenorah, showcases French-girl style at its best; and lastly, Vogue Korea’s Digital Director, Jiyoung Kim, gives us trend tips for Seoul. These fashion week veterans are pros at dressing well for each city and know just the essentials to pack for busy days and nights. “For fashion week, I’m devoted to wearing dresses and my go-to shape is always mid-length, swingy, and low-cut. Dries Van Noten is my all-time favorite designer, and I love the eclectic look of this print. In New York, it’s necessary to wear flats to walk around—especially because I hate taking cars and cabs. These creepers are a bit out of character for me, but I love them and am about practicality above all else! The Heimat-Atlantica satchel and rings bring the look back to a familiar artsy, earthy place for me.”

“I love jumpsuits, especially super-utilitarian ones like this denim flightsuit. I’d style it unzipped to give a peek of a lace bra and wear it with my hair slicked back in a low bun. If I have somewhere fancy to go at night, I’d cave and wear heels, because Prada is absolutely the most comfortable. No bag for me here because I’d make use of the jumpsuit’s pockets.”

“Again, I love a great dress, and this one has a hint of sexy bustier detailing. I’ve been thinking about these Valentino Garavani sandals for a while, too, as they’re perfectly minimal yet still romantic. To really embrace the whole Provence fantasy, I’d carry a pretty straw tote with my hair big and curly.”

“For first-day shows, I like a look that makes me feel strong and confident, just like London itself. Because the weather is so fickle, a statement trench by Proenza Schouler is amazing for any forecast. For a cute pop of color, I’d wear a striped Altuzarra dress under my coat and bring a Carolina Santo Domingo bag, big enough to store everything I need. These club kid platforms give the comfort I need with a little elevation so I don’t feel like a total slacker. Good eyewear is also very necessary for all seasons, and Calvin Klein complements this retro vibe nicely.”

“Further into the week, I usually pull out all the tricks, as the shows are back-to-back and you want to feel pulled together all day long. I love this Prada slicker in green, and I just fell in love with Prabal Gurung’s “I am an Immigrant” tee when I first saw it on the runway. Let’s face it, who isn’t? And the message resonates with so many people. To show I can be ladylike, I love a fiesta-esqe skirt by J.W.Anderson, but then would wear Balenciaga kicks and mismatched earrings. It’s clear that I have a thing for bucket bags, so this black one by Proenza Schouler is a great choice.”

“You can’t go wrong with a midi dress for fashion week, and it’s also a smart buy for everyday life. I’d pair this one by Sacai with comfortable boots by Prada and a beautiful leather handbag. I always carry wireless headphones with me too, and water to keep me hydrated. Applying foundation with UV-protection built in is necessary for the Italian sunshine, and I love swiping on a nude lipstick when on-the-go.”

“My ideal wardrobe is full of soft, retro sweaters—like this varsity style by Tomorrowland—and straight-cut denim. Add charming shoes like pearl-embellished Gucci pumps, and you’ll have the perfect fashion week outfit. It’s easy, yet glam at the same time. To complete the look, I’d match the detail in this sweater with a bright red lip.”

“I’m literally obsessed with white boots. Every time I see a perfect pair like these Gianvito Rossi’s, I can’t resist. Match them with a soft, feminine skirt and the new it-jacket in houndstooth, and you’ll get a modern equestrian look. Pull it off a subtle smokey eye too—very chic.”

“I’d wear this more sophisticated look for a fashion week dinner with a beautiful velvet mule. Corduroy pants are one of my favorite trends of the season, and I expect to see them a lot this fall. A crisp white blouse with statement sleeves allows me to hold onto summer, because I’m hoping it’ll stay warmer longer in Paris!”

“A great blazer with jeans is my fall uniform. I’m drawn to this one by Acne Studios because the texture really brings an intense ’70s vibe. It’s the the kind of piece that would grab attention during Paris Fashion Week, especially when worn with matching booties, high-waisted denim, and yellow Gucci sunglasses.”

“When attending shows and presentations, I love to wear at least one jumpsuit. They offer ease and a blank canvas to dress up and show your style any way you’d like. I’d mix this military green one with a luxe cross-body and black pumps to make the outfit more feminine.”

“The best way to keep warm and stylish during Seoul Fashion Week is by wearing a puffer coat. The bright blue hue on this Balenciaga style goes well with vintage-inspired jeans. I’d tie it all together with a simple pair of white boots and a sporty bag to carry my essentials in case I have time to work out.”

“Seen at so many FW17 shows, silver is new black this season. Lamé pieces capture the trend in ready-to-wear, and I love this top and skirt from Barneys New York collection. Continue the trend from head-to-toe with metallic heels and a Paco Rabanne bag—such a contemporary and elegant outfit.”
