Men’s style is evolving, and it’s time for the shopping experience to evolve with it.
That was the thinking behind The Luxury Wardrobe, our newly expanded assortment of tailoring, accessories and sportswear on the Seventh Floor of the Barneys New York flagship on Madison Avenue.
Now, among luxury suiting and furnishings, you’ll also find sportswear from Zegna, Andrea Campagna, Isaia, Brioni and Kiton. This may seem like a small shift, but to us, it represents a whole new way of looking at men’s style.
The relationship between sportswear and suiting is no longer an either/or choice. Instead, the sportswear pieces that have made the move to the Seventh Floor represent “the underpinnings and complement to the suits, sportcoats and trousers,” says Barneys General Merchandise Manager and EVP Tom Kalenderian. “It changes the perspectives of brands that are known for their clothing and makes them more of lifestyle collections. It’s a different experience and creates a sense of discovery.”
Jean E. Palmieri, Senior Editor of Women’s Wear Daily, adds: “Some customers who purchase Isaia suits may not even realize the brand has a comprehensive casual wear assortment.”
The concept, in short, is to make it simple for you to create total luxury looks that will take you from work to weekend—all in one room. The six looks below are pulled straight from The Luxury Wardrobe and styled by Tom himself.
