Plaid shirts, layered tops, and distressed skinny jeans form the core of the cult-favorite, urban-chic, New York-based R13. An upscale take on the alternative-rock aesthetic, R13’s clothing for both men and women exudes cool confidence, focusing on quality denims produced in Italy with pure indigo for a vintage look.

Born from founders Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson’s search for the perfect shade of blue jeans, FRAME focuses on color, fabric, and fit. The brand’s limited-edition styles began gaining popularity among models and fashion insiders when it launched in 2012. With roots in both L.A. and London, the label provides a fresh mix of West Coast ease and sleek European sensibility that’s reflected throughout this dual-gender line.

Headquartered in Tokyo since its founding in 2000, Moussy has come to set a new standard in premium Japanese denim. Known for mixing its standout women’s jeans with a full collection of essentials, Moussy prides itself on crossing gender norms by approaching women’s fashion from a traditionally menswear-focus point of view. Add Japanese minimalism into the mix and you can see why this is one of our favorite new brands this season.

RE/DONE got its start making everything old new again. The brand lauched by reconstructing material salvaged from vintage Levi’s jeans into modern fits at their studio in downtown Los Angeles, but today, it has expanded beyond the classics. Offerings now also include original jeans, pieces remade from Champion sweatshirts, and vintage-inspired T-shirts in collaboration with Hanes.
