Necessity is the mother of invention, so they say. When the Paris-based designer Delphine Manivet was searching for her own wedding dress and nothing she saw quite caught her well-trained eye, Manivet set about creating her own. “This was the start of everything,” she told The Window.
That was nearly ten years ago. Today, Delphine’s dresses—for both weddings and more formal affairs—are some of the most sought-after in her native France as well as here in the States. It’s easy to see why: Her designs feel utterly romantic yet modern at the same time.
She strikes this balance in a effortless, cool-girl way that feels quintessentially French. So to bring a little of that Parisian joie de vivre to The Window, we asked Delphine to share a few photos of her atelier in the city’s 8th arrondissement.
It’s fate. The dress of your dreams is just a click away.
