You’ve seen the stunning, Bruce Weber-shot images and you’ve read their inspiring stories, but the final part of our Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughters campaign—which stars 17 transgender models and their families and friends—debuts now.
Last night, Barneys New York premiered the 36-minute film by Bruce Weber at a celebration that brought out many of our incredible models, as well as the stylish likes of Irene Neuwirth, Derek Lam, Maria Cornejo, Jennifer Fisher, Pamela Love, Monique Péan, Juan Carlos Obando, Sean Avery, Grace Coddington, Hamish Bowles, Lynn Yaeger, Nate Berkus, June Ambrose as well as Barneys’ own Mark Lee, Dennis Freedman, Daniella Vitale, Simon Doonan and Tomoko Ogura. Today, we’re very excited to be debuting the full film here on The Window along with a few behind-the-scenes photos.
Barneys New York has partnered with the National Center for Transgender Equality and the LGBT Community Center in New York City for this campaign, with hopes to help break stereotypes and build social acceptance of the transgender community. In that spirit, we are pleased to donate 10% of all sales today from our 11 flagship stores nationwide and Barneys.com to these organizations. We hardly need an excuse to shop, but we’d say this is a pretty good one.
Watch the video, check out the pics and then do your part by doing some shopping…
