Have A Blonde Moment: Helena Glazer Of Brooklyn Blonde Shares Some Fashion Favorites

Ever wonder whose closet you’d like to rummage through given the chance? For us, a major contender would have to be Helena Glazer, the blogger behind Brooklyn Blonde. Showing off trends from wild (did you see those pair of highlighter-hued skinnies?) to work-appropriate, this is one New Yorker whose wide-ranging sense of style has caught our eye.

To get the scoop on her style story, we asked her to fill in a few blanks…

Your personal style is…
Feminine-chic with a little bit of edge. I love pairing structured pieces (like a fitted blazer) with a pair of denim cut-offs or a floral dress with a distressed leather vest. I don’t feel like myself if I’m too buttoned up or girly. I’d rather a combination of both.

The most coveted in your closet right now is…
My sanguine red Balenciaga bag. It fits my entire life, but is so light and perfectly broken in.

Your makeup bag at the moment is stocked with…
I recently jumped on the mineral makeup train and I must admit, I love it! I also cannot live without YSL Touche Éclat for brightening up my eye area, brow gel for keeping my eyebrows under control and blot powder for keeping me shine-free. I’ve repurchased those products ten times over.

Your favorite spots in Brooklyn are…
Brooklyn has some of my favorite restaurants in New York. (I promise I’m not just saying that because I live there!) Henry’s End is one of my personal favorites (their seared tuna is the best!). I also adore Al Di La for Northern Italian and Pates Et Traditions for some of the best crepes in the city with an equally charming environment. And I love the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens to escape the city life, even if it’s just for a few hours.

Your style icons are…
Miroslava Duma and Olivia Palermo have always inspired me. They have so much fun with fashion, yet always manage to look incredibly chic. I’m also incredibly jealous of Emmanuelle Alt. I’ve never seen anyone do minimal chic as well as her.

If you were accidentally locked in Barneys overnight, we would find you wearing…
Oh man, talk about my wildest dream! Of course, I would start with a PS1 tote (5) because that’s been on my wish list for way too long. Next I would head to 4th floor for a pair of killer shoes (1), a brocade skirt (7), which I can dress up or down, and to top off the look, a leather jacket (3). This look would transition perfectly from season-to-seaon. The finishing touch would be a pair of sunglasses (2) and some additional killer accessories like this brass cuff (6) and these bangles (4).
