If you think shopping is fun, try shopping after hours, and even better yet—when it’s for a good cause.
This year, Barneys will be participating in the Fashion’s Night Out festivities by keeping our doors open late (10pm!), serving special cocktails dreamed up by designers Prabal Gurung, Irene Neuwirth and Sidney Garber’s Brooke Garber Neidich (see our menu below), and by donating 10 percent of proceeds from the entire day at our Madison Avenue flagship to the Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve LGBT equality. Additionally, the HRC will receive 10 percent of sales from the Barneys flagship stores around the country—Beverly Hills, Chicago, Boston, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Dallas, Scottsdale and Seattle—during the Fashion’s Night Out event.
Like Barneys’s support of the HRC during our Perfect Pairs campaign celebrating the new shoe floor, the donation will specifically benefit the organization’s Americans for Marriage Equality Program. “This is a cause that we are proud to support, and we invite all of our customers, designers, vendors and business partners to participate,” says Barneys Chief Executive Mark Lee.
And lest you need further motivation to shop in support of the HRC, just take a look at creative-ambassador-in-residence Simon Doonan who married his beloved Jonathan Adler and is coming up on his fourth wedding anniversary.
You hope to see you at 61st and Madison!
