Sweeping generalization time: Things from Brazil are gorgeous. Gisele Bundchen, the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, the beaches of Bahia…if we didn’t love New York so much, we might be convinced to pack up and go right now. Luckily, one amazing Brazilian import has recently come to us.
Sao Paolo native Ana Khouri studied sculpture in college, but she soon found that jewelry design had captured her attention. (We’re forever grateful.) After studying gemology at GIA and jewelry at Parsons, FIT, and Central Saint Martins, she launched her eponymous fine jewelry collection, which brings together the geometric and the organic in beautiful, innovative pieces. We all love a delicate ring or dangling earring, but what about a hand bracelet or an ear cuff?
Khouri stopped by our Madison Avenue flagship to walk us through her beautiful pieces. We’ll let you watch the video and decide, but we’d say she’s doing her home country proud.
