This month at Barneys New York, we’ve been in a Dries Van Noten state of mind. From the opening of his exhibition at Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris to the reveal of our Madison Avenue window installations—a collaboration with filmmaker Andrew Zuckerman—to our week of celebrations, this partnership has had one exciting moment after the next, and we couldn’t be prouder.
On Tuesday night, a particularly chic set gathered at the home of Mark Lee to toast the great Mr. Van Noten, including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Diane von Furstenberg, Garance Doré, Phillip Lim, Frédéric Malle, Hamish Bowles, and Barneys’ own Simon Doonan, Tomoko Ogura, Dennis Freedman, and more. The following evening, the party was opened to the public as loyal Dries fans flocked to Madison Avenue for his book signing.

As always, though, with Dries, it’s all about the clothes. His Spring 2014 collection is in stores and online now, and his incredible archives are on display throughout the store and in our windows, framed by the aforementioned films by Andrew Zuckerman. Not in New York to see them in the flesh? Check out our making-of video below, which shows this completely unique collaboration from concept to unveiling.
