Below, see what the style sensation and career woman has to say on everything from the most coveted item in her closet to her favorite San Francisco haunts.
How would you describe your personal style?
A mixture of elegant, simple and edgy. But, I always try to keep it polished.
What is the most coveted item in your closet? We’re guessing your latest Céline bag based on your recent photos…
You guessed right! I was so lucky to happen upon the anthracite Céline luggage tote at Barneys in San Francisco. It had been on hold and off the shelf when I walked in the store, but had been released and made its way onto the counter as I was walking out of the store. It was pretty clear at that point I couldn’t leave without it!
What is your signature lip color?
A muted red. It’s my go-to because it’s classic and easy to wear.
Take us on a tour of your San Francisco…
My favorite restaurants are: The House (for their sea bass), Sushi Bistro (for the best sushi in the city!), Frjtz (for their delicious truffle fries), Gary Danko (for the special occasion) and House of Prime Rib (for the protein-heavy San Francisco classic). I love walking down to Union Square for coffee and people watching, heading over to The Fillmore and The Marina for and cafés and sitting in Huntington Park in Nob Hill for dog time with my two little puppies.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
The best advice: It never hurts to ask. This has been especially helpful in my career. You need to be able to ask for what you want and what you think you deserve. And it’s not the end of the world if the answer is no.
If you were accidentally locked in Barneys New York overnight, what would we find you with in the morning?
Clearly, this would be a dream! I’d have to start with the Sacai jacket (2) because I’m in love with the sweet peplum detail. I’m a blouse girl through and through, so underneath I’d be sporting this colorful Carven blouse (4). It would be tucked into a pair of tailored skinny ankle-cropped trousers like this pair from Jil Sander (3) (hemmed) and finished with my Céline tote and a pair of eye-catching heels from Derek Lam (1).
Color blocking or no color? Neons or nautical? Pajama top of fitted tee?
Color blocking, neons and pajama top. Looking forward to styling all of these looks for spring!
